The International Panaxy Coffee Championship (IPCC) is a professional coffee competition platform designed to discover and develop talented coffee professionals through sensory evaluation and brewing challenges.

The championship provides opportunities for baristas, brewers, and coffee enthusiasts to compete under standardized competition conditions and gain experience on an international-level stage.

IPCC currently features two competition categories:

Cup Tester Championship

• Triangle Test format
• 8 sets of coffee samples

Brewer Cup Battle

• 1 vs 1 brewing competition
• 64 Dripper format
• Standardized equipment and judging criteria
  

Each category focuses on different coffee skills, including sensory accuracy, extraction control, consistency, and brewing technique.

The Cup Tester Championship uses the Triangle Test format.

Competitors are presented with three cups, where two cups are identical and one is different. Participants must identify the odd cup as quickly and accurately as possible.

The challenge tests sensory perception, taste memory, focus, and consistency under pressure.

The Brewer Cup Battle is a head-to-head brewing competition using 99 Drippers.

Each competitor receives:

• 5 minutes preparation time
• 5 minutes brewing time
• 5 minutes judge evaluation
  

The competition is designed to evaluate extraction quality, recipe design, brewing consistency, and overall cup quality.

Water makes up more than 98% of brewed coffee and plays a critical role in extraction and flavor perception.

Panaxy Filtration provides the official competition water system to ensure consistent mineral content and water quality across all brewing stations.

This allows judges to evaluate competitors based on brewing skills and sensory performance rather than differences in water quality.

To ensure fairness and consistency, all competitors use standardized competition equipment provided by the organizer and official sponsors.
